Gather evidence of overseas employment or income

2

Arrange health insurance and accommodation

3

Submit the Premium Visa application online or through the EDB

4

The application is reviewed (typically within a few weeks)

5

Upon approval, the visa is issued for up to 1 year

Required Documents

Completed application form
Copy of valid passport
Proof of overseas employment or freelance contracts
Bank statements demonstrating income
Health insurance policy

Practical Considerations

The visa does not authorise employment with a Mauritian employer
Renewal requires demonstrating continued overseas income
The visa holder is not taxed in Mauritius on foreign income
Family members must apply separately
